This month, we’ve got a very special episode of Original Lines. We talk with several artists from one of Seattle’s largest arts spaces, Inscape Arts, about what it’s like to throw open the doors for an open studio event.
Inscape Arts holds Open Studios twice a year, and for most residents, it’s a big deal. Painters, photographers, sculptors, glassworkers, woodworkers, fiber artists, and more all work under this one roof, and these biannual events are a great way to engage art lovers.
Inscape Arts (formerly Seattle’s darkly historic INS building) was converted into artist’s spaces in 2012. Located in the International District near SoDo, the five-story building is home to over 100 artists.
The 2018 summer Open Studio happens on June 9, from 11:00 to 5:00. Here’s a link to more info.
In this episode, we talk with five Inscape artists. Be sure to stop in and visit them, as well as Two Ponies Press in 205.
